That's right, you give up your seat so you can go to a Phillies vs. Mets game that same day.  Chad gave us this great opportunity to get into Citizens Bank Park into his company's suite for a nice day game, which seemed like a better option that driving to the Bronx at 8pm.  Jen and I made the trip to Philly in the morning to grab Chad, then the three of us rolled over to Tony Luke's to get cheesesteaks with Justin, Lisa, and Luke.  Sadly, Luke was too young to appreciate the steaky goodness, but he seemed to like chewing on his fingers more than trying to grab food from us.  It was the first time Jen and I got to meet little Luke and he was a bundle of whatever it is three month olds are bundles of.  Like most little ones, he didn't do much but look around and take care of other biological needs.  But he was cute and fun to be around all the same.  Even at so young an age, he managed to have a full head of red hair to match what his parents have.  Our section of the suite was quite reserved.  Jen, Chad, Justin, and I didn't really care too much about the outcome of this game, and Lisa is a Mets fan in a Philly park.  So rather than cause trouble with the locals, we just entertained ourselves with chatting and watching the game.  Who am I kidding, it was Luke that entertained all of us the whole time.";

var MarissaBDay2010Text = "Little Marissa is growing up so quickly.  Seems like just yesterday Jen and I were flying out to Cincinnati to visit her.  Now she's a four year old with personality and bowling skills.  Like Erin's party earlier this year, Marissa's party was Disney Princess themed.  Apparently that's what 4 year old girls enjoy.  Marissa, Jennifer, and Bryan just got back from Disney and told us plenty of stories of Marissa waiting in line to meet princesses, then telling the current princess how excited she was about the next princess she was going to see.  Poor princesses.  Fortunately for me and Jen, Marissa didn't treat us like princesses (me especially).  She's at the point where she calls us by name (my name being Keg, Jen's name being En) and speaking in sentences.  It's very exciting and a huge step for her.  She was happy to share her toys with us and tell us random things about random things.  Just priceless.  Jen and I got Marissa her first bowling set too, which we thought was nice since we always take Marissa to the bowling alley and she just has to watch.  Now she gets to bowl and have fun and we just have to watch.  That was the intention.  Then she got scared of bowling well because we cheered for her, which left Bryan and I to have a quick 5 frame 6-pin bowling game in his living room.  I just hope Marissa enjoys the bowling as much as Bryan and I did.";

When Jen and I were invited to Makayla's baptism up in their neck of the woods, we just couldn't say no.  There were two babies that got baptized at the same time.  Makayla was definitely the cuter and more well-behaved one.  Not a peep out of her.  And her brother Caden was very well behaved too.  I remember when my brother was baptized, I was running up and down the stairs of the altar and just generally being a bad boy.  Not Caden.  He wanted to watch and take pictures and do whatever his Grandpa George was doing.  I've learned my lesson through the years, so I was a well behaved boy too, and a couple people complimented me on my good behavior.  After the ceremony was over, it was off to Samantha and Craig's house for the party, where we spent the day eating, drinking, and chatting with family.  And watching the Yankees game on tv.  And having Caden show us his room and toys.  And eating and drinking.  So it was pretty much like Matt and Jennifer's wedding last year, except with a Yankees game and Caden's toys.";

var Cruise2010Text = "30 years ago, Paul and Karin got married and spent their honeymoon in Halifax.  30 years later, they took their whole family to Halifax on a boat ride.  After a year of watching Travel Channel specials on the building of the Queen Mary 2, we all finally got a chance to ride on the world's largest ocean liner.  And the best way to describe it is British.  Fancy tea times every day.  Formal nights more often than elegant casual nights.  Yes, it was a journey on a boat fit for royalty.  As traditionally with multi-day vacation albums, I'll try to summarize each day with only one sentence.  Day 1 consisted of more seasickness from the taxi ride to Brooklyn than from the boat ride that afternoon.  Day 2 was at the open sea and gave us a chance to golf at Pebble Beach (where I was only 3 over par for the first three holes).  Day 3 was in Halifax, where we learned the true value of proper map-reading: that without it, we end up walking up and down a lot of hills.  Day 4 had us in Boston, where Jen and I took some very educational tours of old buildings, only to realize we could have gotten the same tours for free had we just waited outside and eavesdropped.  Day 5 we spent at sea again and it was on this boat that I received my first true massage from a masseuse, but there's no evidence of it since they didn't allow us to take any pictures in the private back room.  So there you go, an incredible trip I'm very thankful for along with 5 sentences describing it in minimal detail.  For any other details of each day, just look at the pictures already.";

var IntrepidAndPark2010Text = "Recently we decided to visit the Intrepid museum (for free, thanks to Bank of America) - I hadn't been there in a few decades and  I was sure boat technology had improved greatly over that time.  Well, it's still basically the same boat I remember.  But this time, it was free.  Craig 1, boat 0.  Cassie, Jen, Jennifer, Leo, and I visited on a beautiful Saturday morning and did a self-guided tour.  As a bonus, we also toured a Concorde and a submarine, which were also free.  Craig 2, boat 0.  After we were bored with that, we headed over a few avenues for some super tasty BBQ (not pictured).  Then Cassie left us to go to a pool party, while the remaining four wandered for 5 or 6 miles until we got to 89th street on the east side of the park.  There's a running race the next day and Jennifer and Leo had to pick up their race numbers and free ramen noodles.  I guess that's the food of champions.  It was there that we met up with Mike and Laura (also picking up numbers and noodles).  After all that culture, we converged in Central Park with Brian and Andrea for some world record setting Frisbee throwing.  Mike, Leo, Brian, and I successfully threw a Frisbee to each other 107 times before dropping it.  Based on our made-up research, the previous world record was 100, so we totally crushed that.  Look for our names and faces in the 2011 edition of the book.  How many Frisbees did the boat catch?  Zero.  Craig 3, boat 0.  Then after all that, we walked back to the west side of the park for some Italian food and to meet up with Glen to complete the ninesome.  A long sunny day in the city filled with over 7 miles of walking, culturalness, world record setting Frisbee tossing, and plenty of tasty food.  Everyone was a winner that day.  Except the boat.";

Jen found a great B&B in Bethlehem, PA which is pretty much as old as our house.  With our days off from work secured, we began our few-hour journey out west to the industrial city.  Based on the pictures, this was a drinking tour of PA.  We ended up at 4 vineyards, enjoying 'free' samples from each of them.  And wouldn't you know it, those samples brought us to bringing home a full case for enjoyment.  Thank you very much, grapes of Pennsylvania.  We also hit up Crystal Caves, which we couldn't do a tour of without joining in on a 5th grade classes visit.  Jen and I had to be on our best behavior because of that.  And then finally, we met one of Jen's grammar-school friends, Roxana, who she hasn't seen in about 10 years.  And we got to meet her fiance and new baby too!  Nothing makes a rainy Saturday more fun than a little one running around with lots of energy.  And once the rain stopped, Jen and I were able to enjoy the fair that was going on and finally complete our artistic dreams of spin-art.";

The Baptism was run like a wedding, so Andre and Audrey must have done a ridiculous amount of planning.  Hats off to them, that's for sure.  Sarah was an absolute angel.  Not a peep out of her the whole time, even during the traditional crying part when the water was poured on her head.  She even smiled for pictures.  After the ceremony, it was off to the banquet hall.  Andre and Audrey were smart - they knew lots of kids would be running around, so they took care of them.  They hired a magician and a face painter, and that kept all the kids entertained when most would have been pretty bored and cranky.  Sadly they ran out of face paint before Jen and I could get to the front of the line.";

Hopefully more fun.  This year we got together on Saturday to paint eggs, eat, and have fun.  Jen went especially all-out by using bee's wax and instructions in order to produce a European-looking egg that would impress the relatives.  Hopefully they were impressed.  Those of us on site to witness it were mighty impressed.  Then on Sunday after Church, the Low family came over, along with long-time friends Tom, Lauren, and Melissa.  This was followed by food and eggs, and everyone had fun.  Especially Aunt Jean.  During the egg roll, she nabbed 4 eggs on her first roll and 3 eggs on her final roll, thus certifying herself as a legend of the roll.  And she got first pick in Mom's annual prize-bag.  I ended up with a stuffed pig, which certainly complimented the soda-encrusted ham we had for dinner.";

So this year Jen and I headed up on Thursday morning for a few days of basketball action.  Of course based on these pictures, it doesn't look like we watched basketball at all.  But really, the weather was beautiful and Erin and Theresa wanted to play outside a lot.  So what can ya do?  The kids want to play, so we play!  Meanwhile, Jim and Katherine were kind enough to schedule Erin's Princess Birthday Party around our visit.  Well, not really, but it was a really nice coincidence.  Part of this trip included a few firsts for Erin, which was exciting.  Jen gave Erin her first ever nail painting, and she was very excited to get some purple nails. Following a yearly tradition, Hoboken held its St. Patrick's Day celebration a full week and a half before the actual holiday.  So on a seemingly random Saturday in March, everybody puts their green on and heads on in for fun.  Like last year, we've learned our lessons from the past and just stick to house parties now.  Especially since the bars started charging $20 covers to be packed like sardines.  Do they even pack sardines anymore?  Mike and Laura hosted this year at their relatively new apartment.  We started with Irish breakfast, followed by Irish drinking, followed by Irish Rock Band, followed by Irish flip cup, followed by Irish sitting on the porch, followed by Irish go-for-a-walk, followed by Irish pizza, followed by Irish napping on the couch while Irishly watching Mythbusters.  A very Gaelic day for all of us in green t-shirts.";
